2017 was big and filled with momentous occasions, huge milestones, and travel. I celebrated a 20-year friendiversary on the Isle of Vieques, Puerto Rico. I traveled to Italy to attend a huge food show and ate a lot of beautiful prosciutto and parmesan. My husband and I celebrated our 10th wedding anniversary, bought a house then journeyed to Barcelona and Costa Brava Spain for a week of roaming and eating.
2018 is shaping up pretty well too.
So far, I have had exciting challenges at work that have led to growth in directions I hadn’t planned on, I performed in a fantastic show with some of the most fabulous women I have ever known. I have spent time nesting deeply with my husband in our new house
This week I am 10 miles off the coast of Maine on Monhegan Island for an artists retreat with two of my oldest and closest friends. Originally I had planned to just walk around, read books and drink wine. But, hello! I’m on an artist’s retreat! It’s time to get going on the blog!
So! Here I am resurrecting Tart of Gold! Since we last chatted, I was able to purchase tartofgold.com. I have switched my title. You will still be able to access my site from atartofgold.com if that is what you have bookmarked – I still own that one too.
Moving forward I plan to post recipes and updates on my travels (I would like to do a lot of that!). I have a couple of backlogged recipes that I will weave in along with the new stuff. This break has given me time to consider how I like to blog and what stresses me out. I look forward to more of the former and less of the latter. No pressure, more fun, more adventuring and creativity.
Here is a picture of my direct supervisor napping on the job.
Welcome back to Tart of Gold!
